New 'Rewrite Your Day' Contest for Chronic Migraineurs

If you have chronic migraine, chances are it’s happened to you. Your sister had her wedding or your child celebrated a birthday—and you weren’t there. It’s hard to attend social events when you’re suffering with migraine 15 or more days every month.

The National Headache Foundation has teamed up with HealthyWomen and Allergan Inc. to educate the world about the daily struggles of people with chronic migraine with the Rewrite Your Day campaign. As a part of the Web-based contest, celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss will help 15 lucky winners re-create a wedding day, special birthday or other momentous occasion they missed due to chronic migraine.

The cornerstone of the campaign is www.RewriteYourDay.com, a website with a wealth of resources to help treat and prevent chronic migraine. Visitors can also use the site to share stories of special moments they missed out on and how they would rewrite those days if given the chance. Weiss and an independent panel of health advocates will review the submissions and choose the winners.

Over the years, Weiss has planned lavish events for celebrities, such as Jessica Simpson and Ellen DeGeneres. Now she is excited to join Rewrite Your Day and share her talents with the migraine community.

If you are a chronic migraine sufferer, tell us your story for a chance to rewrite your big day. Go to rewriteyourday.com to enter now!
