Stephanie N.: Chronic Daily Headache

Name: Stephanie N.

Residence: Quad Cities, IL

Conditions: Chronic Daily Headaches

First Diagnosed: January 2010

Q: What is the most frustrating thing about your life?

A: The most frustrating thing is knowing I am letting people down. I find myself cancelling plans and ignoring phone calls just hide under a blanket with an ice pack on my head. I worry that people feel that can't depend on me - I worry that I can't depend on me. I love to be the life of the party and spend time with those I care about, but anymore it feels like I spend my time trying to sleep off headaches. I feel like my normal life has been ripped away.

Q: What are you most thankful for?

A: I am most thankful for supportive people around me. Without the care and concern and love of these people - I don't know where I would be. These amazing people are always lifting me up and encouraging me, letting me know that things will get better, letting me know I will have a headache free day soon...

Q: What is your idea of happiness?

A: My idea of happiness would be a headache free month. Or even a week. Feels like it's been forever since I've had one of those.
