Recipe: Biscuits

Thanksgiving may be over…but you can still enjoy the biscuits. Try this easy biscuit recipe* with your favorite jam or alongside a cup of soup for a never-fail winter snack.

Biscuits Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoons granulated sugar

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup margarine

2/3 cup milk
1 egg

 

 

Preparation:

In a large bowl, blend together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Finely cut in the margarine. Add the milk and egg; mix well.

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface, and roll or pat on the desired thickness.

Cut with a floured round biscuit cutter.

Transfer the rounds to a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Chocolate

Citrus fruits

Red wine

Aged cheese

MSG and nitrates

Aspartame

Nuts

Onions and garlic
